The award-winning filmmaking duo Keif Roberts and Peter J. Haas have been working together since 2008.  Their documentary work tends to focus on the human element of contemporary issues.

Keif Roberts (Co-Director, Editor & Location Sound) graduated from SUNY Stony Brook and was a screenwriter and producer before adding directing, editing and cinematography to his repertoire. He first knew he wanted to be in film when he saw Martin Scorsese’s “Taxi Driver” in a theater. Keif has worked as an editor and cinematographer for DIY Network, Discovery 3D, and the ASPCA. He lives in Queens, NY.

Peter J. Haas (Co-Director, Editor & Camera) is a Brooklyn-based director and editor whose first celluloid love was “Godzilla.” Since age 9, he’s been chasing monsters and men, camera in hand. His chief inspirations are classic German Expressionist cinema, the free-wheeling creativity of Terry Gilliam, and the fog-shrouded forests of his New Hampshire birthplace. Through his films, Peter strives to unlock the experience of "ecstatic cinema" -- a viewing experience that challenges, delights, and sweeps up the audience in equal measures. [www.peterjhaas.com]

About Left Turn Productions
Left Turn Productions, Inc. was established in 1996 by filmmakers Donald Pruden, Jr. and Keif Roberts. En route to their lawyers’ office to finalize the corporation, the pair was in need of a company name and found themselves waiting at a left turn signal; hence “Left Turn Productions” was born. The name also reflects their interest in progressive causes and social activism.

Recently, the company has collaborated with Peter J. Haas Films on projects.
